In this week’s coffee break chat, Krista and I delve into Systems Thinking, the topic of our next webinar in the Leadership for Liminal Spaces program. There are some who are dismissive and even outright hostile toward systems thinking. Why? Does it threaten something they hold sacred? We have some thoughts and would love to hear yours. We also have some thoughts about the flipside - why Systems Thinking makes us more hopeful.
Come explore this in more depth with us on April 24th. As we mention in the video, there are roles for us ALL to play as we imagine ourselves into more healthy, thriving systems.
On a somewhat related note, next week I’m also co-facilitating a two-day online workshop with my colleagues at HUMMUS in Belgium on Holding Space and Deep Democracy in Times of Uncertainty and Disruption. We’ll be talking about how we can foster the kind of brave space needed in order to navigate times of instability, when our systems are falling apart and/or we’re seeing the need to disrupt them.
