Welcome to A Tender Space!

We’re Heather Plett and Krista dela Rosa and we’re the co-founders of the Centre for Holding Space.

We started the Centre for Holding Space because we’re both passionate about supporting people in having meaningful conversations, deepening relationships, growing communities, and nurturing radical self-love. (Learn more about our story in the post Krista wrote.)

We LOVE good conversations. That’s what bonded us to each other and to our team and other members of our international community. We love to talk about ALL of the things that make us human - our relationships, our weaknesses, our communities, our weird obsessions, our limitations, our desires, our bodies, and our fears. Sometimes we’re philosophical, sometimes we’re funny, sometimes we’re confused, and sometimes we get quiet because we need a break from the noise.

Because we’ve both grown a tad weary of social media spaces where it’s often hard to engage in meaningful conversations, we thought we’d start this new conversation space and a new semi-weekly video series where we can slow things down and be more intentionally focused on what matters to us.

Join our community!

We want to grow a community of learners and explorers - people who have the same questions about life, love, and liberation as we do. You can subscribe to our free offerings (blog posts and the free version of our podcast), or you can deepen your experience by paying a monthly subscription fee.

A few times a year, we’ll host a community call on Zoom, exclusively for our paid subscribers and alumni of our courses.

Find more Tenderness

As a paid subscriber, you’ll also receive weekly Notes from the Path. These are short missives that Heather has written, inspired by her time wandering the paths near her home on Vancouver Island. You’ll also receive a weekly Poem for Holding Space (from the vast collection that Heather has amassed) along with related journal prompts.

Additional Mini-Course: An Integrated Self: Understanding the Core Needs Triad

For our paid subscribers, we have a brand new mini-course called An Integrated Self: Understanding the Core Needs Triad. This is a continuation of the Spiral of Authenticity model Heather shared in her first book, The Art of Holding Space. It’s a way of deepening our understanding of why we make choices the way we do, how to heal the wounds of unmet needs, and how to become more integrated selves who make a more mature contributions to the world we live in.

We have more things in store for those who subscribe. We hope it will become a generative space where we can all learn, grow, and heal together!

Reflections on what it means to be human in a world that sometimes dehumanizes us. Tenderness, embodiment, community, human development, and of course, holding space.
