Why kinship matters

how radically transforming the nature of our relationships can help us change the future

Partly inspired by Robin Wall Kimmerer, and partly by time spent in the woods on Vancouver Island, we’re talking about kinship and how it can transform our relationships and help us get through this moment of polycrisis.

“Each person, human or no, is bound to every other in a reciprocal relationship. Just as all beings have a duty to me, I have a duty to them. If an animal gives its life to feed me, I am in turn bound to support its life. If I receive a stream’s gift of pure water, then I am responsible for returning a gift in kind. An integral part of a human’s education is to know those duties and how to perform them.”― Robin Wall Kimmerer

As we mentioned in the video, we’re currently working on a re-launch of our leadership program, which is currently called Leadership for Liminal Spaces but will look a little different in the future. Watch for that soon! We’re also looking forward to sharing some exciting new offerings that are emerging from our community.

We offer a lot of our content on Substack for free. If you’d like to support us in continuing to be able to do that, please consider upgrading to a paid subscription.
